The School of Open Learning (SOL) is an institution under Distance Education in India, established in the year 1962 as a Part of Campus of Open Learning. It was primarily known as The School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education. With the admission of 900 students, it was the first time in the year 1962, that the country witnessed a new way of learning. The students of SOL have proved themselves in various disciplines of education on many different occasions. The norms of various courses in SOL are established by Delhi University. The annual examinations are also conducted by Delhi University itself. The students of SOL are given the degree of Delhi University as for other constituent colleges. The syllabus of SOL is also the same as of other constituent colleges.
Various Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs are offered in the discipline of Arts and Commerce. The study material is well dispersed to the students enrolled in their particular programs. Personal Contact Program are also conducted for students, which provide proper guidelines to the student, to learn.
