British Asian Student coming to Delhi Uni

Hi All

I'm going to be at Delhi University in November 2009. In fact I leave England on SUnday. I'm not really sure what to expect, however I can imagine that University life is totally different in India. I wonder if you can give me some tips and advice? Also What do students usually do at the weekend? And also are there any groups/ societies where I can get to know people and make friends?
